LINGOS

LINGOS came from the idea of helping with language barriers, specifically with first generation students with parents who speak another language. Whether it's because of miscommunication, tradition or just simply not understanding the other party's view, LINGOS wants to help in a fun and lighthearted way.

An amusement park and app to go alongside where it guides you throughout the park with questions that you must answer before moving onto the next point. The goal is to allow you to get closer both physically and mentally while answering the questions, going on rides together and starting the conversation.

Full case study coming soon!

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma

Instructor: Angela Riechers, Courtney Spencer

When you start in the app, you begin by inserting the two languages you are playing with.

The home page will then show the question for the users to get to their next ride. There are reminders to each party to keep in mind when they are at LINGOS.

The navigation bar features the path page where you can see your progress with the amount of questions that you completed, the translation button which will switch between the two languages, play card is where the question will be and lastly more is for access to other resources.

You will see these small characters throughout the interface and there are five in total. The reasoning for them is to not only help the players during their time at LINGOS but also to maintain a lighthearted and fun environment for the players.
